College

Today, I am supposed talk about how this project is supposed to make me stand out when I am applying to colleges.. I think it will help me stand out not only because I made a game but because I wrote a blog to tell people about my project and I am making a game because of how I feel about video games. Also it will help me stand out because I want to make a video game because they helped me through hard times and still do and i want to do the same for others. I was also asked how it help shape my life plan. I think it will help me shape it if I get into a college that will allow me to continue this kind of work and if that is the case I would plan to get a job in this business.

Update 12/2/2016

So this week I worked on get my Gamesalad account setup. I learned that you can get a 50% discount if you are a student, teacher, U.S. veteran. My next step is to start working on the game itself. I will start with the characters.

What Are my Goals for this Project?

My goals for this project are to show people that they can make a video game. I want to make a video game to show people that it is possible to do so. I’ve always wanted to make a video game but I never had a way too or it was just too hard. I want to show people that they can make a video game with the right program.  I will make a video game using a program called GameSalad. I will use this program because it give you in depth tutorials and you can make a game without having to learn how to code. It also has some free art that you can download without breaking any copyright laws. I will measure my progress by having a timeline to keep up with.
